Navigating the Current BTC Trend and the Bullish Horizon
After a robust start to the year, Bitcoin has entered a corrective phase, which is crucial for cooling off from the previously overbought conditions and ensuring a more stable and sustainable growth trajectory. As someone who predominantly focuses on Elliott Wave analysis, this adjustment aligns well with the current Elliott Wave pattern, suggesting that while the short-term outlook (1 to 3 months) is somewhat ambiguous and unclear due to the ongoing correction, the overarching bullish trend that began towards the end of 2022 remains intact. This continuation pattern supports a positive 12-month forecast for Bitcoin’s price. You can follow our daily Bitcoin updates on our Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@morecryptoonline

The “1+ Year HODL Wave” indicator, which measures the proportion of Bitcoin that has not been moved for over a year, recently showed a trend leveling off after a period of increased selling by long-term holders. This period of selling often occurs when the market is overheated, so that demand can be met.

However, most recently the indicator has turned sideways. This return to a sideways trend indicates a potential easing of sell pressure from these holders, likely contributing to a stabilization of market prices and this could be an indication that a price reversal to the upside is near.

Additionally, the MVRV Z-Score, an indicator that assesses whether Bitcoin is overvalued or undervalued by comparing its market value to realized value, sits comfortably between its typical green (undervalued) and red (overvalued) bands. This placement suggests that Bitcoin is currently fairly valued, providing a balanced risk-reward scenario with potential for significant upside.

In the context of Elliott Wave theory, the ambiguity of the current corrective wave makes it challenging to predict exactly when this phase will conclude. However, the fact that we are still within a broader bullish structure initiated in late 2022 gives credence to the potential for upward momentum once this corrective phase completes. The combination of a stabilizing long-term holder activity, neutral MVRV Z-Score, and alignment with a bullish Elliott Wave pattern offers a case for the likelihood of Bitcoin’s price appreciation in the medium to long term. My bull market projection still points towards $125,000, which could change if further upside extensions show in the coming months. However, a sustained break below $50,700 will lead to a delay of the direct upside path.
